Peace of Africa is at the foot of the Olifantsriver Mountain Range, overlooking the town of Porterville as well as the countryside as far as Piketberg. Open spaces and fresh air meet you at the gate. Lovely B & B units in amongst the pine trees, selfcatering unit at the edge of a dam consisting of the scarce white fish (witvis), good for fly fishing. A rockpool situated next to the camping area for the very hot days, also with 2 lapa's for relaxing in the shade. Peace of Africa, only being two and a half kilometers out of town, means that the gholfcourse, bowling club and tennis courts are all within a short distance. There are lovely walking trails, as well as mountain biking and 4 X 4 routes surrounding this resort. A few restaurants in town cater for those who prefer a more than relaxed atmosphere. The annual Porterville Christusfees is also the largest local event. |
